Size & Framing Guide
Choose the artwork for the wall you have, not just the image you love. Start with the available space, check the height and width carefully, then decide how you want the canvas finished.
01 — Measure before choosing
Measure the usable wall area and the furniture beneath it. Leave breathing room around doors, lighting, shelving and adjacent artwork. Mark the proposed artwork size with removable paper or low-tack tape suitable for your wall finish, then view it from across the room.
For an artwork above a sofa or console, roughly two-thirds to three-quarters of the furniture width can be a useful starting point—not a rule. Adjust for the room, composition and surrounding objects.
02 — Read the dimensions correctly
Product options may list height × width, for example 40″ H × 30″ W (approximately 102 × 76 cm). Check the H and W labels rather than assuming the first number is the width.
Canvas dimensions and the outside dimensions of a finished frame can differ. If the artwork must fit a precise recess or clearance, ask us to confirm the overall finished dimensions before ordering.
03 — Compare canvas and frame options
Rolled / unstretched canvas
The artwork is supplied without a stretcher frame. Arrange stretching and any decorative framing with a local professional before hanging. Confirm the available stretching margin and intended finished size with us before ordering.
Frameless stretched canvas
The canvas is stretched over a wooden support without an outer decorative frame. Review the product details for the specific finish and installation information.
Framed & stretched
The canvas is stretched and supplied with the selected outer frame. Frame styles and colours vary by artwork; use the available product options and request clarification if a finish is important to your room.
04 — Match the room
Consider wall colour, nearby wood and metal finishes, daylight and the viewing distance. A frame should support the painting and the room. If you are uncertain, send us the artwork link, a room photograph and your wall measurements.
Screen settings and lighting affect colour appearance. Room images help you judge styling, but always use the listed dimensions to assess scale.
